Second Thoughts… let’s make this more regular

Good news for all of those who love listening to podcasts on the commute into the office: our Second Thoughts podcast is now a regular feature with its own dedicated channel and a new episode out every fortnight.

Readers will know we’ve been publishing episodes on secondaries since 2018 as part of PEI’s Spotlight podcast, including this one on GP-leds and this one on preferred equity . Since we started the Second Thoughts mini-series at the beginning of 2023, these episodes have attracted over 30,000 downloads.

In our standalone channel, we’ll continue discussing all things related to liquidity in private markets: key innovations, latest fundraisings and deal-making trends. We’ll also have in-depth reviews of our flagship content.

I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing some of the market’s leading figures including Blackstone Strategic Partners’ Verdun Perry , AlpInvest Partners ’ Michael Hacker , 高盛 ' Harold Hope and Ardian 's Vladimir Colas for Second Thoughts. My colleagues senior editor Adam Le, Americas correspondent Hannah Zhang and others have delved deeper into industry research and our conversations with market sources to bring you insight beyond our digital stories and scoops.

We have two new episodes for you this week.
