There was a change in her that seemed so sudden and quick
Yet, she was likely the same woman all of this time
Was the wonder she was, concealed by some mean trick?
Or did the one who held my heart make me so blind?
?I can recognize beauty, I understand what's attractive.
So, why did I not view her this way before?
Had one of my senses been damaged and fallen inactive?
There is no way my eye sight was ever that poor.
And we had talked much in the past, on so many occasions,
Its not like she was someone or something unknown.
Since changing my mind takes a great deal of persuasion,
I must have refused to see what before me was shown.
So now that she is here, I should strive to do what is right;
Guard her heart, raise her up when she falls,
Protect her dreams in the day, ward them off in the night
Leave her room but come when she calls.
And in return I should expect no reward or great praise,
To respect her choices , all with a smile and grin.
Hoping her presence surrounds me for many more days,
To atone for my ignorance which I now feel was sin.
(What ever the future, you are pretty amazing)
