Second session by Turan Drilling and Engineering HR Manager, delivered the seminar at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University

Last week, Jamila Shafiyeva , Turan Drilling and Engineering HR Manager, delivered the seminar at the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University.

The subject was the? "Overview of Human Resource Management".

The starting point of the lecture was an ice-breaking exercise when the students were requested to work in groups. Each group presented its vision of what the HRM is.

Students demonstrated good knowledge of the theme despite the main subject of their study relating to the oil and gas industry.

Jamila Shafiyeva continued the lecture based on the topics presented by the students and revealed additional ones based on her qualifications and many years of experience in the HR field.

The essential tips on preparing a suitable Curriculum Vitae and presenting during an interview were given to the students. The extended discussion was about how the hiring process works, what types of recruitment exist, and the difference between proactive and reactive recruitment.

The audience was interested in the types of development programmes for the high potential students within TURAN Drilling and Engineering.

The session was very interactive and helpful for the students; they expressed their anticipation for the following HR seminar.
