?Quotable quotes – worth treasuring
Melody Beattie (self-help author): “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity... it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
Rumi (Persian poet): “Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every corner of your life.”
·????? Thich Nhat Hanh (Vietnamese Buddhist monk): “When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive—to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
Albert Schweitzer (German-French theologian and philosopher): “At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.”
Maya Angelou (poet activist): “Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.”
Oprah Winfrey (media mogul): “Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson (transcendental philkosopher): “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
“Think of gratitude as your personal treasure chest: the more you add to it, the richer your life feels.” – a #Nevilleiism.
