It's getting to that very busy time of the year!???

The NZ ICS/OT Cyber Summit will be held in New Plymouth, New Zealand. This in-person event will be showcasing topics relevant to Industrial Control System Engineers, Team Leaders and Managers, ICS/OT Cyber Security Engineers, and IT personnel responsible for cyber security in industrial facilities.?

13 November?

The last of the Critical Infrastructure Security Excellence Workshops will be in Sydney. These in-person events include the latest information and practical advice relating to the protection of Australia’s critical infrastructure through panel discussions and collaborative activities. DISC 2024 Asia-Pacific will be held in Sydney. This in-person exclusive event will share ICS research on threats, malware, incidents, and vulnerabilities conducted by Dragos’s intelligence and threat operations teams. The program is technical, research-oriented, and contains lessons learned from the field.?

The fifth annual Microsoft Digital Defense Report was published recently, noting blurring lines between nation-state threat actors and cybercriminals, and critical infrastructure as a key target of physical strikes and cyberattacks in modern hybrid conflicts.?

A joint Cybersecurity Advisory warns network defenders of Iranian cyber actors’ use of brute force and other techniques to compromise organisations across multiple critical infrastructure sectors. Read the advisory details and recommended mitigations here.?

American Water, the largest publicly traded US water and wastewater utility company, was forced to shut down some of its systems after a cyberattack, this month. This comes not long after another incident that impacted the water treatment facility of Arkansas City, Kansas, which was forced to switch to manual operations after a cyberattack.?
