The year is starting to pick up pace. There is a lot happening in the OT security space including a lot of town halls sessions around the Australian legislation and cyber security 2030 strategy. We can undoubtly expect more announcements to come and an expansion of the requirements and law later this year, as we work together as a nation to secure our most critical assets.
The countdown is on for a key requirement of the SOCI Act - the first Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP) -?annual reporting deadline, which is 28 September 2024. Many organisations are aiming to have the first report ready by the end of this financial year, to give the board time to review and submit on time. For many organisations, this is the first time they are having to comply and meet the requirements of a standard such as AESCSF SP1.?Our team of OT security experts are here to help. We had a great time at our second Perth OT cyber security meetup! It's always great to visit WA and meet the local OT security community, and we were able to give Russ a proper welcome onboard as our Regional Sales Manager. A security intelligence briefing for VOLTZITE, a designated threat group that shares overlaps with the adversary described by CISA in May 2023, and the Microsoft threat group Volt Typhoon was released.
