The surge of unregistered 'finfluencers' offering financial advice on social media platforms has raised significant concerns within the securities market, with many unsuspecting investors falling prey to unregulated guidance. In response, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is contemplating comprehensive measures to regulate this burgeoning sector.
"The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is contemplating guidelines to rein in finfluencers' activities," SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch said on Monday, March 11, at an Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) event in Mumbai. These proposed regulations aim to overhaul registration norms, simplifying the process to facilitate 'ease of registration' for these influencers, while ensuring greater transparency and accountability.
Helios Mutual Fund launches Balanced Advantage Fund: Should you invest
Helios Mutual Fund on Monday (March 11) announced the launch of the Balanced Advantage Fund. This open-ended dynamic asset allocation fund aims to capitalise on the potential upside of equities while actively managing the portfolio to limit downside risks.
