Attending the opening conference of Seatrade Cruise 2024 was a profound experience that highlighted the bright future of the cruise industry and underscored the significant strides we are making towards sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration. Quoted from CLIA latest presentation: "The cruise industry is witnessing a notable resurgence, with passenger numbers showing a robust upward trend. In 2023, the industry accommodated 31 million passengers, a figure that is projected to increase to 34 million in 2024 and further to 36 million by 2025. This growth trajectory is underpinned by a substantial order book that reflects the industry's optimism and commitment to expansion. As of now, there are 56 newbuild ships on order, representing a significant investment of $38 billion USD. This ambitious expansion plan not only highlights the cruise industry's recovery but also its readiness to meet the growing demand for maritime leisure travel with modern, innovative vessels that promise to enhance the passenger experience while emphasizing sustainability and efficiency"
