It’s evident that, post pandemic, people are ready to welcome a touch of extravagancy back into their lives and are throwing off the sweatpants and getting dressed up again!

And we can see this collective shift playing out across social media with a glorious parade of pearls, metals, feathers, and more.

Spring/Summer Statement trends

This season the nod is towards big statement necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets, which of course is music to my ears! And included in the mix are motifs like locks and keys, flowers, and other fauna.

And pearls are back!! But for this season they’re going to be extra big and worn either as one strand close to the neck or a few longer strands layered together.

We can see from the runway shows for many of the top designers, like Valentino and Hermès, that among the top 2022 jewellery trends are extra big links. Oversized gold chains make bold statements as solo pieces and are also being layered with other over-the-top pieces.
