Educational Awards
This year has been a significant one for Afrikindness. We are proud to share that we have been honoured with?three awards, making us an award-winning organization for our educational work.
Cultural Awareness and Pride
We celebrated culture with our belief that identity is an act of empowerment, embodying the African proverb, “When there is no enemy within, the enemies outside cannot hurt you,” a powerful reminder that true authenticity has the strength to break barriers and build bridges of understanding.
Our signature campaign, Africa Awareness Week, reached more schools than ever, creating impactful conversations around identity, heritage, and inclusion.
We were honoured to present the prestigious Colours of Africa Art Excellence Award 2024 to two exceptional schools in England (Bempton Primary School and Enfield County School for Girls), recognising their outstanding contributions to cultural education and artistic expression.
These cultural projects are at the heart of our mission to advance education, fostering positive racial identity development and kindness in young people, equipping them to embrace their heritage and contribute to a more inclusive world.
This festive season, as we come together in joy and reflection, it is also a time to celebrate culture, honouring the diversity that unites us and the shared values that inspire hope for the future - Celebrating the Rich Tapestry of Cultures Across the World.

Our charitable objects remain at the heart of everything we do:
To advance education and the social and character development of children and young people by developing their mental, physical, and moral capabilities to enable them to grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
In 2024, we furthered our mission by engaging?more parents, schools, and young people?than ever before, building stronger connections and fostering a sense of community.
This year has not been without its challenges, but together, we have built something truly special—making an impact, building community, and sharing a collective purpose and vision.
We move forward with a deep sense of purpose and optimism, confident that with your continued support, we will achieve even more in our quest to support children and young people around the world.
We also take this opportunity to highlight the spirit of the season, a time to reflect on kindness, unity, and hope.
In African tradition, the proverb "Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu"—"I am because we are"—reminds us of the strength that comes from community. Together, we have made strides to break barriers, foster understanding, and hope for all.
As we step into the new year, let us continue nurturing our community with?kindness and hope, supporting one another, breaking barriers, and most importantly, empowering the young ones to become the best version of themselves.
