It's that time of year again.
The run up to Xmas is a great time of year for most of us. The lights are on in town, people are buying presents for friends and family; everyone is in a good mood and there is a genuine sense of anticipation and happiness in the air.
For most of us at least.
Anyone living or working in and around Manchester will be aware of how bigger a problem homelessness is becoming. There are simply more people without the security of a roof over their heads than ever before.
At DigitalBridge we've had a great year of growth; customers, investors, PR and team. Like most years I expect we'll get the usual and always appreciated Christmas gifts from recruiters and PR companies and other folk we've been lucky to work with over the past 12 months.
This year I'd like to thank anyone who is thinking of dropping a present in to not do so. As much as we always appreciate you thinking of us we want to do something to help those less fortunate than us.
Instead, please donate an equivalent amount of money you would have spent on us to your favourite charity. Or even better - we're supporting the amazing Booth Centre who in their words work to...
"bring about positive change in the lives of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and help them plan for and realise a better future".
Of course no-one has to donate to them - but if you were thinking of getting us a little something for Xmas - whether it's a bottle of wine, chocolates or even a Xmas hamper we'd really much prefer you donated to the Booth Centre. Their JustGiving page is https://www.justgiving.com/boothcentre.
Our best wishes for a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.
