Being selfish is considered a bad thing. But …? but what if it’s an act of self-care? That to be able to help others, you have to first help yourself? That’s the realization my three superstar guests came to on this week’s NEW episode of Fearless Authenticity.

Professional dancers, Jasmine Harper and Ashley Everett, have both worked with Beyoncé while celebrity publicist, Randy C. Bonds, represents a variety of high-profile clients. Over the years, they’ve often sacrificed their needs for their employer’s. Now, the three have created a wellness brand, Be > (Be Greater Than), that focuses on the importance of taking time for yourself.

On What It Means to Water Yourself: “Let me learn to be intentionally selfish in a self-loving way, in a self-fulfilling way, so that I’m full .. when you water yourself, you have multiple streams to pour out of.”

On Their Process for Finding Authenticity: “We all had to say what we’re greater than in our moment in time … just being able to say I am greater than Beyoncé’s dance captain … people want to box you in.”

On Why They’re All on This Journey Together: “We were all just at a point where we knew it was okay to put ourselves first and not be in the shadows anymore … to chase after what we want for ourselves.”

I will definitely be tuning in to this! Wellness topics are especially important. Thank you for highlighting the practice of self-care. It can help reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. Organization is also an important aspect of self-care, as it promotes better mental health.
