OpenAI Takes On Search

OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, have announced SearchGPT, an AI-powered search engine prototype poised to challenge Google.

The prototype, initially accessible to 10,000 test users, aims to organize and make sense of internet information in a user-friendly manner.

However, early reports indicate some inaccuracies, or "hallucinations," in the demo results.

Interested users can join the waitlist for future access as OpenAI plans to expand its availability and integrate it into ChatGPT.

Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist

Apple released the developer beta 1 for iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 earlier this week. Those who are a part of Apple’s developer program can get early access to Apple Intelligence ahead of its release this fall:

  1. Open Settings on the device running iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS 15.1
  2. Go to the Apple Intelligence & Siri menu
  3. At the top of the page, hit Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist.
  4. Hit the blue Join Waitlist button on the pop-up.
  5. When access has been granted, you can return to Settings and ensure the Apple Intelligence toggle is on.
