The Searchers
Really now, shouldn't I write about what is probably the greatest John Ford/John Wayne collaboration? Years from now people will still watch American Westerns. They probably won't care about LinkedIn reminders about who viewed my profile.
It was nice taking time away and having the number of profile viewers drop. Heavens to Betsy- my analytics fell as I was off the internet. None of which has to do with this reminder. The fact that X number of "Searchers" viewed my profile- people view your profile for a myriad of reasons.
In 2020 I received many hate views from people who refused to wear masks. I no longer wear a mask. Never think less of anyone who does. Famously, I wrote a comment about a box store I did not like.
Employees of said box store responded that "I knew nothing about what I was talking about." They were in management and not treated as poorly as some I have known who work for this evil empire.
I thought nothing of it. It was one comment of many. Evidently, many from that company viewed my profile. With disdain. It would have meant nothing if LinkedIn hadn't sent a "You are receiving interest from this box store" post.

Would I leave a Union job where I can make a difference in the moment to work in retail? I would say I would work a cash register. This is the store notorious for having forty registers and two cashiers.
Not all attention is good attention. All women on LinkedIn are hit on. You cannot be a professional woman, probably married, without receiving messages from horny men in foreign countries. Would LinkedIn say to those members "You are being noticed by men?" They might as well. Not one of those men has two things on their mind. The one thing they want is not professional.
Had they not used the word "Searchers" I would have disregarded this message. It's interesting how many they claim are "Similar to me". In what way? This did inspire a trip to the library. Why view profiles of randoms who viewed mine when I can watch iconic westerns?
