Is it search or Research?

People are unaware about the use of search and research, they often use it in a same way ….

Let’s talk about search

When we say search it is just a try to find something by looking or otherwise seeking cautiously and thoroughly.

As per the definition given in dictionary.com, the search is:

1. To go or look through (a place, area) carefully in order to find something missing or lost
2. To look at or inspect (a person, object, any contact information.) carefully in order to find something masked (hidden)
3. To discover or examine in order to determine something

But research is something beyond this;

1-     The systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

2-     Research is a tool by which they can test their own, and each other’s' theories, by using this antagonism to find an answer and advance knowledge

3-     Research has certain steps to be followed carefully

4-     Research accepts certain critical assumptions.

5-     Research requires the collection and interpretation of data in an attempt to resolve the problem that initiated the research.

6-     Research is, by its nature, cyclical or, more exactly, helical.

Conclusion – Based on above mentioned facts, the conclusion can be derived as search means simply looking for something whereas research looking into something
