Microsoft Teams - Quick Tips for End Users
People, who use Microsoft Teams for the very first time and now have to deal with it alone while working from home, usually have more questions than answers. I'd like to answera few of these questions with some quick tips to help the end user get along better. Further application examples can also be found on my blog.
Tip 5: How to find information, files, colleagues
Microsoft Teams is not just a solution for chatting or having conversations with colleagues. You also share and work with files. Sometimes you are looking for the right contact person to finish your document or work.
In order to simplify the process of finding information, Teams have the File tile on the left-hand side. In there, you will find all the files—and this goes beyond the usual Office formats—that you've been working on recently. For me a great function to quickly continue working, where I stopped without looking for files for a long time.
You'll also find all the files you've accessed through Microsoft Teams, as well as your personal files in your OneDrive.
If you miss your file in this view, just look for a term/word/name in the text box in the upper middle. This search function not only shows you files, but also conversations, colleagues, chats, etc. You can even further narrow down the search results via a filter function, similar to tip 4. With this feature, I have found everything I have been looking for so far. OK, I'm still looking for my car keys... ??
Team up!
