Search Engines...using AI?
Everyone must have heard of ChatGPT. If you're a student, you've probably used it for your homework or to... cheat on an exam. Matter of fact, you must have seen content creators use AI to create videos. They are using AI to generate scripts for their videos and some go even as far as creating deep fakes of their own voice! It's a crazy world we are living in right now and it's about to get even crazier with the AI Search Engines!
You.com - The AI Search Engine YOU control
Like any other search engine, the search engine makes it easy to discover a broad range of information from a wide variety of sources. But the catch is, that by using YouChat, you can learn about what you searched. You can ask questions as you'd normally do with ChatGPT however, there are fewer restrictions here. The chatbot also provides the users with links that may be related to their prompt which I found to be pretty cool.

Open AI-Supported Microsoft Bing
Microsoft announced today that they are launching their new, AI-powered search engine and Edge browser, which are both available at Bing.com, to deliver better search and more complete answers. They referred to these tools as "AI copilots" for the web and judging from the screenshots that they added to their blog, they aren't wrong. There are billions of search queries a day, out of which most go unanswered. This is because people aren't searching for things as it was originally intended. No doubt, search engines are good for finding websites, but for answering more complex questions, not so much. Fortunately, this wouldn't be the case with Bing moving forward.
Bing will now provide users with a new interactive chat experience. A chat experience that empowers you to refine your search until you get the complete answer you are looking for. Microsoft claims that the new Bing will be running on a new, next-generation OpenAI language model which is more powerful than ChatGPT and is customized specifically for search. To give you the gist of how groundbreaking this is, applying AI to the core search algorithm has led to the largest jump in relevance in two decades. Even basic search queries are more accurate and relevant. The entire user experience has been reimagined taking into account how you interact with the search bar, the browser, and the chat.
Whether this succeeds or fails, it's always interesting to see new perspectives on things. I am personally really excited about this new update and am looking forward to using Bing and Microsoft Edge, something I never thought I'd say.
Conclusion
In conclusion, AI is becoming more and more relevant in today's world and the future is looking bright for people interested in Artificial Intelligence.
