Sealand Shipping and Inland Services Ltd. Unveils An Extension to the Medical and Emergency Unit at 37 Military Hospital: A Milestone in Our CSR

At Sealand Shipping and Inland Services Ltd., our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) drives us to create meaningful and lasting impacts in the communities we serve. Today, we are excited to announce a major milestone in our CSR journey—the launch of an extension to the Medical Emergency Unit (MEU) ward as well as adoption and renovation of the existing MEU ward at the 37 Military Hospital.

Introducing the 37 Military Hospital Initiative

Today marks a significant milestone as we unveil our commitment to the 37 Military Hospital, a project designed to provide the healthcare services to support the premier emergency care center in the country. This initiative underscores our ongoing dedication to supporting health and safety services, building on our previous commitment and donations to the Ghana Police Service’s MTTD.

Unveiling The MEU with Leadership of 37 Military Hospital

Key Features of the Medical Emergency Unit

1. 24/7 Emergency Services: Recognizing the unpredictable nature of emergencies, the centre will be operational around the clock, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their background, receive prompt and high-quality care when they need it most.

2. Specialized Medical Teams: The MEU will house a team of highly skilled professionals, including trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, and critical care nurses, dedicated to providing the highest standard of care in emergency situations.

3. Patient-Centric Design: Designed with the patient in mind, the centre features trauma bays, efficient emergency care pathways, and additional beds for the existing MEU center. These elements are aimed at ensuring more critical care and more beds patients, which has become so critical in medical delivery in the country.

A Collaborative Success

The successful realization of this project is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the military commander of the 37 Military hospital, Brigadier General PK Ayibor and his team of healthcare experts and administrators, and the dedicated team at Sealand Shipping and Inland Services Ltd. Their support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition.

We are proud to contribute to such an impactful initiative and look forward to the positive difference it will make in emergency healthcare. Special appreciation to all who contributed and pushed us to make this a reality. Together, we are advancing towards a future where high-quality emergency support services is accessible to all, reinforcing our commitment to the well-being of our community.
