Rediscovering a Forgotten Great Depression Legend in our Digital Age
In today's fast-paced, social media-driven world, the name "Seabiscuit" likely eludes the majority of young Americans. Teenagers and young adults of the "X, Y, or Z" generations are far more immersed in the ever-evolving landscape of Facebook, Instagram, or any ZipZop app. The concept of "tapping" for them likely evokes images of fast thumbs navigating the latest viral trends, rather than any iconic dance moves by classic Hollywood stars like Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly and not to forget Eleanor Torrey Powell!!! All of them real dance stars.
Is it a safe bet that 50% or fewer of today's Western youth would have any understanding of who or what Seabiscuit was, let alone its significance in American history? This story is actually about a racing horse, what this name refers to, its time in US history, and its deep and real relevance for the resurrection of a whole nation's population.

This overlooked legend deserves to be rediscovered by our younger digital generation - for this article aims to uncover the amazing True Great Depression Tale that reignited hope in the hearts of the less fortunate. Thus, join me as I unpack an mesmerizing true story - one that profoundly reshaped my understanding of the Great Depression era, and the remarkable resilience of the human spirit, catalyzed by an unlikely hero... a seemingly mediocre racing horse that no one seemed to believe in at all, as a racing horse able to win anything, thus a horse few ever cared about.
Seabiscuit was an unlikely racehorse that captivated a whole American nation during the Great Depression, offering a much-needed escape and source of hope amidst the economic turmoil of the era. His against-all-odds rise to fame and triumph over adversity struck a chord with a country in desperate need of inspiration. Though Seabiscuit's heyday may have faded from the collective memory of modern youth, its powerful story of perseverance and triumph is one that deserves to be reclaimed and celebrated in today's fast-paced digital landscape. Perhaps a new generation of readers, hungry for genuine inspiration will discover this timeless magic of this forgotten stallion icon.
Regrettably, many modern Western citizens, including younger generations, may fail to know about and or connect with a historical tale like Seabiscuit's. Too often, large segments of our Western populations reject or dismiss their own cultural heritage and values. They often avoid seeing themselves as the Western citizens they actually and truly are. Meantime, all of our anti-Western culture 'Zip-Zop' adversaries are working 24/7, closely attached within our mobile phones, to do their utmost best to dismantle our Great Western cultural heritage.

A simple and typical tactic is to never let US have any time to process and reflect on things appearing in our contemporary lives, which I'd see as the main time we humans as a specie actually mature and evolve! This statement is based upon my own reflective experience on when I actually mature and grow as a person. Instead, many of us are being bombarded, via 'fun' stimulation 24/7 on a constant 20-30 seconds shorties on latest dance move, clothing, and/or gaming trends, rather than taking time to calm down start to breath deeper and slower and in such more relaxed state, we automatically start to reflect. Thus, in my non-psychologist view, this constant latest trend focus vs own maturity growing reflection, might not directly be responsible of our clearly cultural disconnection, but unfortunate and most certainly works as an agent and anti-filter to not access any time to reflect and mature.
This article's main objective is to reclaim a mostly lost and forgotten icon like Seabiscuit, in order to inspire our current and future generations. It is certainly important to overcome the common Western cultural apathy, as well as the concerning anti-Western attacks, by spreading Seabiscuit's powerful tale among all of our readers, including our younger audience. Even without an explicit WEstern cultural revival as the goal, this stallion's triumph tale deserves to be rediscovered, despite current trends of constant digital 'zip-zop' stimulation that mostly works against any attempt to revive and reclaim our Great Western culture. This stimulation trend also has a more murky side than was first seen and/or understood, where it aims to dismantle our civil liberties, freedom of speech, and democracies.

Seabiscuit is a story about real-life hardship and the ability to succeed even when few are standing by your side. This story showcases the strength of the human spirit and the resilience of the Western mentality, which is often underestimated. Narratives like Seabiscuit's make us feel alive and help rejuvenate our prospects for a prosperous future. By "prosperous," I partly mean financial prosperity, but also spiritual and philosophical well-being. This real-life story of overcoming severe economic hardship is a testament to the deeper forms of prosperity we should strive for - where also the spirit is being connected and included. The protagonist faces the devastating loss of something he hold most dear.
Thus, I share this story with anyone who in turn are happy to share it forward, as too much external sponsored social-media energy is doing all their best to make our Western cultures look less good, or even bad. I personally feel very proud of being part of this Western culture, and believe that anyone born/bred in Western nations should see this as a great privilege and opportunity. Not that life is always easy because our standard of living is comparatively very high, as our lives can also often be 'complicated' and confused. As a WEsterner, I hear and partly agree that some of our Western nations have done less positive things in history, but those sad facts are comparable to most cultures in all parts of our world.
...
Few other cultures or nations has so far, from my knowledge, admitted any wrongdoings ever - thus not being mature enough as our Western one. Also, any less positive aspects of our WEstern culture has to be considered alongside all of the scientific advancements our WEstern cultures have created. For instance, Western culture has produced more medical advancements and vaccines that have saved millions of lives worldwide, than All other cultures Combined!!! My WEstern point given is that most of our WEstern cultures have reflected and most Western nations have learned from former mistakes and changed course of action - and there are an amount of millions of cases of positive changes - materials of another 2-3 articles, but the Medical Advancement is obviously a strong one!

Seabiscuit may have been a more well-known name after the 2003 release of a popular low-budget film based on his story. A quick check on Wikipedia provides some key details:
Seabiscuit was a champion thoroughbred racehorse who was born on May 23, 1933 in the United States. He is best known for defeating the 1937 Triple Crown winner, War Admiral, in a famous 1938 race. Seabiscuit's improbable rise from an overlooked, "lower-class" racehorse to champion made him a symbol of hope during the Great Depression. His remarkable story has been the subject of numerous books and films, including the 2003 movie "Seabiscuit" (see YouTube video link below).

The Seabiscuit story was later adapted into an Academy Award-nominated film, based on the book by author Laura Hillenbrand. This "rags-to-riches" narrative of an overlooked racehorse's unlikely rise to triumph resonated deeply with the working-class and ordinary Americans who were severely struggling during the Great Depression.
From my Western European perspective, Seabiscuit's struggle and ultimate success acted as a catalyst, reigniting the engine of the US economy and fueling hope for a more prosperous future. The racehorse's triumph, alongside the personal journeys of his remarkable jockey, trainer, and owner - each with their own flaws - contributed to the story's transformative impact. While Seabiscuit may not have directly propelled economic growth, it almost certainly inspired a positive mindset shift in the years that followed. This authentic tale gave any average Americans a powerful psychological shield, allowing them to embody the spirit of a true champion and believe that anyone could achieve greatness, no matter their circumstances.

This film truly left me deeply affected and Astonished, and I could in some aspect consider it as being a Masterpiece that sheds some light on the hardships and also HEROism of the 1907 and 1929 financial setbacks. Both of these crisis might reveals a pattern of designed, or possibly better put avoidance of design, issues stemming from a lack of any regulations to protect investors and citizens from financial scammers - exactly like the famous Ponzi and his 'grand-grandson' Madoff. The link between these two distinct financial meltdowns, occurring in 1907 and the more famous arriving in 1929, might financially be closer than what ordinary economic literature typically acknowledges; this 'closeness' is based upon real facts - and our own 2007/08 crash, might/could/would expose a new major one is slowly still surely arriving.

The horse Seabiscuit's development from a low-class-rank horse into the Top Best in its class is much more than astonishing, making all Ordinary hard Working people's blood pump harder and faster, than ever before! Seabiscuit is the true tale all honest hero's should watch.
Today is the 4th of July, the United States of America's Independence Day. As a proud Westerner, I wish one of our history's most amazing civilizations and strongest national spirits a great national day, and another 248 years of continuous development for this constantly evolving and growing nation since 1776. Stories like Seabiscuit's remind us of the resilience, determination and transcendent human spirit that have been the foundation of America's progress over the centuries. While no nation is or has ever been perfect, the willingness of the American people to learn from mistakes and strive for positive change is a testament to the enduring promise of the American experiment.

On this Independence Day, may the timeless lessons of Seabiscuit's triumph continue to inspire generations of Americans - not just those who are already celebrated, but also the underdogs, the overlooked, the "lower-class" dreamers who dare to defy the odds. For it is often from the most humble beginnings that the greatest champions emerge, lighting the path to a brighter future for all. Peace and blessings upon the United States of America, the land of opportunity for anyone bold enough to believe in themselves to reach for the stars. May the engine of this great country keep running strong, fueled by the spirit of its people.
