Clients see a sea of sameness. Procurement places the lowest bidder on the highest perch. And clients don't just want great ideas, they want innovate ideas!

Making this all the more difficult is the fact that no one really understands what the word "innovation" actually means.

What do clients really want?

Is it an agency that chases or waits for the next brief, diligently and carefully responding point-by-point, in the hope of seeing the next "cool" idea? Or, one that can listen to the business problems, that can question and uncover insights and then use these to create solutions, messages and platforms that provide real value and solve complex business problems.

I believe its the later. This should be the core value proposition behind actually partnering with an agency.
