In the recovery efforts of the Covid-19 pandemic especially, partnerships are the solution identified by the United Nations as a means to lighten the debt burden faced by developing countries by spreading funding through many channels. Pubic and Private Sector Partnerships connect corporate lenders to nonprofit organizations that specify in various areas of social, environmental, and economic impact.

Additionally, the net official development assistance (ODA) reached a record-breaking high in 2021. ODA is government aid designed to sponsor economic welfare and development in developing countries. Partnerships have the power to connect corporations with government initiatives and NGOs that align with their goals for investing in the global good.

Partnerships present a cyclical relationship. Corporate partners can provide the funding and resources to grow specific areas and interests of need. Impact organizations can leverage the support of corporate partners to scale their scope of impact, reaching more people in the communities being served and promising larger, longer contributions. Communities connect to lasting impact from organizations. Corporations connect to social, environmental, and economic initiatives that give them a greater purpose outside their organization. This exposure, in turn, helps company executives, employees, and stakeholders to become a part of a larger network. Corporations can leverage their connections to have a global presence in and beyond their industry and to develop their own corporate sustainability goals. Corporations connect to impact organizations to drive lasting impact and reach global communities. Partnerships have the opportunity to bring "profit" to all members.
