SCW and Socitm Advisory announce alliance

NHS South, Central and West (SCW) and Socitm Advisory announce a ground-breaking alliance by agreeing to co-develop new services to support Integrated Care. The alliance will see the two organisations working together, combining their complementary expertise, to an integrated data intelligence offer for Local Authorities and Health. This is the first offer of a number we expect to develop under our alliance. The two public service focused advisory and support organisations shared the news at the Digital Health Rewired conference.

The alliance is designed to harness the capabilities of both partners. It combines the health expertise of SCW with the in-depth local authority insight of Socitm Advisory to provide an integrated offer for Health and Local Authorities. The alliance will provide access to the combined expertise from both sectors, particularly in digital and data strategy and programmes.

SCW is an NHS organisation providing support and transformation services to health and care systems working with over 200 organisations helping them achieve the best possible outcomes for people, communities and populations.

Socitm Advisory is a trusted source of expert advice and guidance for public service organisations.?They work with local & central government, housing and health and social care to analyse, improve and transform public services.?They have a proven track record of delivering transformation programmes that improve public services for the benefit of not only the organisations, but also the communities that they serve.?

The alliance will support the new Integrated Care System model by helping to bridge the gap between health and care communities and providers.

Both organisations will continue to act in the role of independent advisors, remaining technology-agnostic.?By coming together they will add capacity, capability, and harness their cross-sector expertise to deliver?the integrated care approach that the sector is seeking.

Comment from NHS SCWCSU

“This is a ground breaking alliance which will bring Local Authorities into the heart of the development of the ICS and the concept of ‘place’, bringing strong integration across prevention and wellbeing.”

Catherine Dampney, Director of BI Innovation and Transformation

Comment from Socitm Advisory

“We are very enthusiastic about the benefits this alliance could deliver in relation to local public service improvement.?In our joint discussions, it became clear that we share many of the same public-sector values and ambitions as SCW. Combining SCW’s extensive digital and data insights capabilities and experience with our transformation track record with Local Authorities makes a lot of sense to us.”?

Russ Charlesworth, Director of Integrated Care
