FOODCHAIN Recruitment?are excited to present a new Commercial Manager opportunity working for B-Corp Certified pet food company, Scrumbles, to join the growing team and look after Key Grocery & National Accounts.

Growing triple digits YoY and operating profitably, the business is at the stage of entering new markets and reaching greater scale than ever before.

Scrumbles make natural, ethical cat and dog food filling a gap in the market for a high quality, responsibly sourced pet food that’s accessible. Despite an increased understanding of animal nutrition, cats and dogs have never been as unhealthy and with lots of mixed messages, pet parents are a little confused – Scrumbles are here to sort it.

They are not afraid to stand up and speak the truth and like to do things a little differently. As a dynamic challenger brand making waves in the industry it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join Scrumbles and help break the mould.

You’ll be a part of a unique ‘social business’ helping transform the lives of cats and dogs they serve, the environment and the communities.

THE ROLE

• Key point of contact for a portfolio of Grocery and National Accounts equivalent to c. ￡4m Turnover.
• Develop exceptional relationships and category partnerships to ensure Scrumbles achieves outsized results.
• Effectively manage the accounts to ensure annual turnover and profit targets are achieved.
• Development and negotiation of winning joint business plans.
• Management of promotional plans, ongoing analysis of promotional effectiveness and monitoring of compliance.
• Planning and implementation of NPD launches within your customers.
• Working closely with marketing colleagues to activate agreed customer marketing activities.
• Input into S&OP, annual and monthly forecast, and budget cycles.
• Working with finance to ensure accurate forecasting of promotional and customer investment.
• Working closely with supply to ensure great availability and appropriate buy/supply behaviour

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience as an account manager, commercial manager or buyer.
• Enjoys the fast-paced nature of a working in a start-up or smaller business.
• Organised and calm under pressure with the ability to prioritise
• Have a passion for results and hunger to make a big impact
• Enjoy working as part of a small team (team photo below)
• Have strong Presentation and Excel skills
