Part of Agile project management is scrum. Scrum gets its name from rugby, and much like in the game, encourages the team to organize, learn, and reflect on wins and losses. Many people confuse scrum and agile since they both encourage continuous learning, however agile is a philosophy, while scrum is a framework. Scrum is structured into different sprints, which are periods of time where a product is brought from ideation to completion. Each sprint has a planning phase, a production phase, a review phase, and a retro phase.?

• Focus - The sprint structure focuses a team’s efforts on a specific project to get it finished quicker.
• Openness - A daily stand up is a great way for everyone to be open about what they’ve done, what they’re going to do, and what is blocking them from achieving their goal.
• These values instill a collaborative and honest spirit within the team, which improves the quality of work as well as the turnaround time for projects.
