A scrum is formed by the players who are designated forwards binding together in three rows. The scrum then 'engages' with the opposition team so that the players' heads are interlocked with those of the other side's front row. A good scrum needs its strongest players in the middle order not to fall apart and that’s what a scrum master is in software development the strongest member ensuring that their respective teams connect together in order to reach their goals.

The Agile project management methodology uses short development cycles, called sprints, that results in the continuous improvement and upgrades of products. Scrum masters take responsibility for making sure that team members and individuals achieve success. The scrum becomes an observer and the extra eye that sees without bias but only towards the principles of Scrum and Agile values. With the reflection of the team in a mirror, members can receive open questions from the scrum master that will lead to the general improvement of the team.

How does Pepla apply this? Our scrum masters will do sprint planning every Monday for the week that lies ahead. The scrum masters will also do a retrospective on the previous week and check if all the sprints were completed. On a daily basis, our scrum masters would do a quick catch-up session with our developers to run through any roadblocks or issues.

The scrum master is the “middle man” when it comes to coordinating project objectives!

The scrum master monitors progress, and exchanges information between external groups. The scrum master helps create a clear vision for the team they work with and makes sure that projects are progressing as they should.

2.?????Daily Stand-up Meetings

The scrum master hosts daily stand-up meetings with their teams. During these brief meetings, the team would discuss their successes and hurdles and what they will be doing on that day.

3.?????Keeping all involved informed

As scrum masters host daily stand-up meetings, they will also keep stakeholders informed on how projects are progressing or if there are any roadblocks that they might be facing. Scrum masters hold the responsibility of making sure that timelines are followed and that all deadlines are reached as projected.
