Hey there, Dearest Reader!
Some of you know me well, and others are a bit newer to the party (welcome, by the way)!
Every now and again, I like to reset the table, get reacquainted with my beloved Readers and remind you (and myself) exactly what it is I’m doing here. 'Cos let's be honest, it's easy to lose one's self in the forest of content marketing, and before you know it, you're off trail with the wind as your captain and the rain as your friend.
Anyhoo, where was I?
I’m a native of Qonce (formerly known as King William's Town), currently residing in the Helderberg mountain region near Cape Town, South Africa.
My professional writing career kickstarted 9 years ago when I joined an instructional design company as a course writer and I found a home scripting OSHA courses.
On the surface, writing scripts for fire safety training videos sounds boring, but it was a dream come true for my multi-hyphenate, research loving self.
Not only did I learn a ton of things about topics I'd never look into on my own, but I learned to hone my writing talents into a specific marketable skill — educational content writing. Plus, I worked with designers and learned to think about text through visual representation. See, part of scripting courses is providing visual/graphic/creative direction to the designers and/or videographers who would take the script and bring it to life.
Today, I use those same skills to create content for female founders on LinkedIn. For some clients, I do it all while others have a design team on staff, so I simply supply the copy and creative direction for their posts.
And while an 8 to 12 LinkedIn posts don't quite feel as weighty as a 30-minute OSHA course, seeing my ideas, my words come to life takes my breath away every time.
That's what I do, really. I bring (or help others bring) ideas to life. Whether it's through video scripts, social media posts, or even email newsletters, I have a knack for communicating messages in a way that resonates with an audience.
(But I don't need to tell you that, Dear Reader, you know my powers all too well.)
I love that I have married my passion to my purpose of helping service-based businesswomen find their voices and spread the wealth of knowledge and awesomeness that makes them uniquely qualified and amazing.
Thanks for learning more about what I do!
Now, I want to hear about YOU!

2 天前I think this is my first time reading your newsletter. I’ve taken lots of educational training videos and never really thought about how they were scripted. So it was interesting to see a little of the other side. I’ve spent 32 years in IT. I’ve made lots of training material in that time. My main responsibility was the network and systems but teaching people how to use the technology is what I really enjoy.
