INTRODUCTION
This meditation for peace and healing has 4 stages.
Each stage lasts approximately 5 minutes
I will give you clear instructions for each stage of the meditation after which there will be the five minutes of silent meditation.
Every time we enter a new stage, I will start it by softly saying: Stay in the silence.
1 CENTER, CALM, CONNECT
Okay. Let’s begin.
Close your eyes and allow your body to sink and drop down into being at ease.
Your body knows how to do this.
It is just like sitting in your favourite armchair or sofa … Or out at a café people-watching … Or out in nature, looking at a view, at the clouds . . .
Your body knows how to be at ease.
Maybe move your feet just a bit to help you anchor down.
Notice the subtle sensations of your clothes against your thighs.
Notice the subtle sensations of your clothes moving against the skin of your chest and stomach as you breathe.
Your eyes are soft and kind.
Your heart - warm, open.
Take three slow, soft, quiet breaths down into your stomach … Slow and quiet now . . .
(Quiet for 3 breaths.)
I will stay silent now for a few minutes as we each centre
And connect with each other across the landscape
Heart to heart….

2 SEND PEACE & HEALING TO WHEREVER THERE IS SUFFERING
Stay in the silence
For the next few minutes we send thoughts and feelings of peace and healing to wherever there is suffering.
Calmly, patiently, we send peace and healing….

3 PRAYERS & MANTRA FOR PEACE & HEALING
Stay in the silence
For the next few minutes we each in our own way say our prayers and mantra for peace and healing on Earth.
Your prayer or mantra could be as simple as May there be peace and healing on Earth….

4 PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO PEACE & HEALING
Stay in the silence
For our last few minutes we allow ourselves to receive the blessings of peace and healing.
We open our hearts and minds to receive peace and healing.
We breathe in peace and healing — We breathe it deep into our bodies.
And we commit ourselves to peace and healing for the coming year….

CLOSING
And now gently, slowly . . . Stretch . . .
Thank you for Love.
Thank you for Community.
