The delivery of steel screens at Bentleigh Station earlier today was a welcome addition to the job site as the Australian Handrails team ramps up their efforts to complete the project as soon as possible.
The screens are specifically designed for platform three of the station, with the intention of framing the background of the passenger accessible side of the tracks.
Manufactured from heavy duty steel, the platform screens are extremely durable, weather resistant and will also deliver a significant architectural profile.
The revamp has been ongoing for the last couple of months along with updates to fellow Frankston line stations Ormond and McKinnon as part of the Andrews State Government’s Level Crossing Removal Scheme.
Bentleigh is hardly Australian Handrails first venture into the public transport industry, with prior collaborations at stations in Nunawading, Springvale, Laverton North, Lynbrook and Cardinia.
With platform screens currently being installed, the construction process at Bentleigh Station is in the safe hands of the crew from Australian Handrails.
