Screen Innovations...Innovative and Versatile solutions

I have had the priviledge to represent Screen Innovations (SI) projection screens and window coverings for a number of years and certainly, the moniker, "Innovations" suits the company to a tee!

However, it came to me recently that another word should be used as well...VERSATILITY!

After all, SI has consistently shown me that they offer versatile solutions as well.

Let's talk projection screens...

When it comes to projection screens SI provides a broad selection of screen materials that are not only industry leading but offer versatile applications as well.

The Black Diamond material is the industry standard in Ambient Light Rejecting projection screen technology and completely flipped the two-piece projection screen industry on its ear when it was first introduced over twenty years ago.

Since then, SI has brought to market many INNOVATIVE and VERSATILE products such as the Solo series of motorized projection screens.

While most screen manufacturers offer their motorized screens in one power version, 110V, SI has been offering its Solo product in 110V(pigtail), 24V and Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (the company pioneered this version almost TEN years ago).

Now the end user can purchase a screen that offers the VERSATILITY of bringing the BIG PICTURE experience to their home theatre, bringing it with them to the cottage or camping trips or setting it up in the backyard!

Try and do that with a flat panel TV!

I have been using a 106" Lithium-ion powered Solo Pro (the first generation) screen since 2018 and it holds a charge for about TWO years and can be recharged many times over.

And the screen material that I selected is Slate 1.2 so that the screen can be used in adverse light conditions.

Now that is what I call VERSATILITY!

What about window coverings?...

Although SI has not been in the shade or window coverings industry as long as they have been in the projection screen market the company has proven time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with.

SI offers shading solutions for both indoor (Nano & Nino) and outdoor (ZEN2 being replaced by KAOS) applications that are available in a broad selection of fabrics from light filtering to black-out.

When first introduced to the market, the Nano shades were immediately available in a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery option.

Unlike other battery powered shades that require replacement of dry-cell batteries, SI opted to go with the Lithium-ion product as it can be recharged easily (the batteries hold a charge for a minimum of 12 months) and many times over, plus they are more environmentally friendly.

Using the Lithium-ion version is ideal when there is no available power near the shade and is a great retrofit solution.

SI is not only VERSATILE in its power options (Line Voltage, Low Voltage and Lithium-ion) but also in its selection of window coverings...

• KAOS (Kick A** Outdoor Shade) - Is designed to provide an elegant, robust solution in the outdoor living space that allows the end user to enjoy the great outdoors during the most inclement weather (including high-wind situations).
• Origami - Is designed to provide window coverage to unusual/irregular window shapes.
