Short-throw screens have been available for years and Screen Innovations (SI) has been offering this solution for as long as I can remember.

SI developed a material dedicated to this specific application having a .6 gain (90% ALR) and a minimum throw distance of 9".

Originally, the Short-Throw (ST) material was offered in a fixed frame (3.5" bezel) and then in a Zero Edge style frame (.65" bezel).

In 2018 Screen Innovations introduced its first motorized screen using the ST material but it was not without some limitations.

The Solo screen could only be built to a 100" screen size and with a maximum 2" drop.

However, that was then!

Authorized SI resell partners can now order the brand new motorized power-up ST screen which is available in a 120" (and soon, 110") size.

This screen promises to be a game-changer.
