S - Sustainability

This embodies the fundamental work of establishing a world capable of sustaining itself perpetually without exhausting resources or inflicting irreversible damage on the environment. It entails embracing methods that safeguard natural resources and ecosystems for the posterity.

The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission) stands as a pioneering initiative focused on cleanliness and sanitation, endeavoring to forge a sustainable and sanitary environment through handling waste, eradicating open defecation and enhancing overall cleanliness. By advocating cleanliness and responsible waste management, it actively contributes toward a sustainable and more healthful environment for the coming generations.

The Ujjwala Yojana is a scheme providing access to clean cooking fuel (LPG) for households below the poverty line. By promoting clean energy for cooking, it aims to reduce indoor air pollution, deforestation caused by traditional fuel use and contributes to environmental sustainability.

The National Mission for Green India (GIM) aims to increase forest and tree cover, enhance ecosystem services and support sustainable forest management. It focuses on afforestation, reforestation and biodiversity conservation to promote environmental sustainability.

The National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) directs its efforts toward elevating agricultural productivity while upholding resource sustainability. It advocates for climate-resilient agricultural methods, water preservation and the efficient utilization of resources to bolster sustainable farming practices.

The National Mission on Sustainable Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) focuses on conserving and sustaining the fragile Himalayan ecosystem. It addresses challenges related to biodiversity conservation, climate change and sustainable development in our Himalayan region.

The National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE) under the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) focuses on promoting energy efficiency and sustainable practices in industries, agriculture and households to reduce overall energy consumption and environmental impact.

The National Clean Air Programme (NCAP) aims to reduce air pollution levels across our Bharatiya cities. By focusing on a multi-sectoral approach involving various ministries, state governments and local bodies, NCAP aims to improve air quality and promote sustainable urban living.

C - Community Engagement

Building a sustainable world requires the active participation and collaboration of communities. Encouraging involvement and cooperation among people from diverse backgrounds foster innovative solutions and collective action towards common goals.

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is an initiative aimed at financial inclusion by providing access to banking services for all. By engaging and empowering communities economically, it fosters financial literacy, encourages savings and promotes participation in formal banking systems thereby enhancing the involvement of communities in the economic development process.

The National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), also known as Aajeevika, focuses on mobilizing rural communities and empowering them through self-help groups. It aims to enhance livelihood opportunities, promote financial inclusion and encourage community-driven development interventions.

The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) aims to skill rural youth for wage employment. By engaging rural communities in skill development programs, it empowers individuals, enhances employability and encourages local participation in economic activities.

The Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) urges Members of Parliament (MPs) to embrace and nurture exemplary villages. By prioritizing community involvement, it champions the comprehensive advancement of these villages, enlisting local residents in decision-making to drive their holistic development.

The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) ensures 100 days of wage employment for rural households. This initiative actively involves communities in various rural development endeavors such as water conservation, afforestation and infrastructure enhancement, empowering them economically.

The Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM) strives to invigorate local economic growth and advance comprehensive and inclusive rural development. It advocates for the consolidation of resources and endeavors to achieve holistic progress while encouraging community participation in both planning and execution.

On the other hand, the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) guarantees the well-being of communities impacted by mining activities. Through fostering inclusive growth in mining-affected regions and involving local communities in decision-making, it aims to tackle social and environmental issues concerning these areas.

The NRHM that is the National Rural Health Mission, aims to provide accessible, affordable and quality healthcare to rural populations. By involving communities in healthcare planning, implementation, and monitoring, NRHM empowers locals to actively participate in their health and well-being.

DAY-NULM, is the National Urban Livelihoods Mission aims to reduce poverty and vulnerability of urban poor households. Through skill training, capacity building and facilitating self-employment opportunities, it actively engages urban communities for sustainable livelihoods.

R - Renewable Energy

Our Bharat is making significant strides in advancing the promotion and development of renewable energy sources like solar, wind, hydro and geothermal power. This deliberate shift aims to reduce reliance on finite fossil fuels. As a Nation, we prioritize investing in and advocating for these energy alternatives, recognizing their critical role in securing a sustainable and self-reliant future for all. This concerted effort aims to strike a perfect balance between ecology and economy.

The International Solar Alliance (ISA), launched by our nation Bharat and our partner France, aims to promote solar energy deployment globally and efforts is to encourage the widespread use of solar energy. Our Bharat's steadfast dedication to renewable energy, notably solar power and its active involvement in initiatives like ISA highlight our Nation's commitment to diminishing reliance on finite fossil fuels. These endeavors underscore the paramount importance of adopting sustainable energy solutions for the future.

The Atal Bhujal Yojana focuses on sustainable management of groundwater resources by promoting community participation in groundwater management. It aims to recharge groundwater sources, ensure water security and promote sustainable use of this vital resource.

The Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana (UDAY) is a financial restructuring program for power distribution companies aimed at reducing their financial losses. By improving the financial health of discoms, it aims to promote investments in renewable energy and enhance power distribution efficiency.

The Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (KUSUM) initiative strives to encourage the adoption of solar energy among farmers by implementing solar pumps and grid-connected solar power plants. Its core objective is to lessen farmer's dependency on conventional grid electricity while fostering the use of renewable energy in agricultural practices.

Meanwhile, the Saubhagya Yojana endeavors to ensure electricity access to every household across Bharat. By leveraging renewable energy sources to extend electricity coverage, this program plays a vital role in reducing reliance on non-renewable energy and expanding the availability of clean power to our remote regions.

The Solar Charkha Mission aims to promote solar energy usage in the khadi industry by providing solar charkhas (spinning wheels) to artisans. By harnessing solar power, it enhances productivity, reduces costs and promotes sustainable practices in the handloom sector.

The Udaan Scheme encourages the use of solar cooking systems in rural and remote areas. By providing subsidies for solar cookers, it not only promotes the use of renewable energy but also contributes to reducing the dependence on traditional cooking methods thus promoting sustainability.

The Prime Minister's Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) initiative encourages the adoption of solar power among farmers. Offering financial aid and subsidies for solar panel installations and various renewable energy ventures, it actively advocates for the integration of clean energy practices in agriculture.

Simultaneously, the Atal Bhujal Yojana (ATAL JAL) targets enhancing groundwater management and advocating for sustainable water resource utilization. Engaging local communities in collaborative groundwater management, this program aims to ensure the enduring availability of water resources through sustainable practices.

A - Agriculture and Food Security

Fostering sustainable agricultural methodologies that give precedence to soil health, biodiversity, and resource optimization is crucial. Balancing food security for everyone with reduced environmental effects from food production is a pivotal element for a self-reliant global landscape.

The Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) directs its efforts toward enhancing irrigation efficiency, enlarging cultivable areas and securing water accessibility for agricultural use. Through the adoption of sustainable irrigation methods and water management strategies, PMKSY endeavors to elevate agricultural output, guarantee food security and concurrently diminish water wastage and environmental repercussions.

The Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) encourages organic farming practices by promoting traditional and organic farming techniques. It aims to improve soil health, reduce chemical inputs and ensure food security while preserving the environment.

The Soil Health Card Scheme equips farmers with insights into soil nutrient levels and guidance on optimal fertilizer application. Through advocating for a balanced approach to fertilizer use, its goal is to bolster soil health, elevate crop yields and foster sustainable agricultural methods.

Meanwhile, the National Food Security Mission (NFSM) targets fortifying food security by amplifying crop production and productivity. It places emphasis on augmenting the yield of rice, wheat, pulses and oilseeds while advocating for sustainable agricultural techniques to enhance productivity.

The Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme (PMFBY) offers financial aid to farmers affected by natural disasters, safeguarding against crop damage. It fosters sustainable farming by addressing risks linked to agricultural uncertainties.

The National Agriculture Market (eNAM) serves as a digital platform for trading agricultural goods. Its objective is to establish a unified national market for farmers, securing fairer prices, minimizing wastage and advancing efficient agricultural trade practices.

The Prime Minister's Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) is a comprehensive scheme designed to secure fair prices for farmers' produce. By stabilizing prices and offering support to farmers, it bolsters food security while advocating for sustainable agricultural methods.

Similarly, the Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme (PMFBY) offers crop protection against natural calamities, shielding farmers from income loss. This initiative not only fosters sustainable agriculture but also safeguards food security in the wake of erratic weather conditions.

T - Technology Innovation

Harnessing technological progress to devise inventive solutions for sustainability challenges is crucial. Whether in clean energy technologies or streamlined waste management systems, technological advancements hold the potential to steer impactful transformations.

The Digital India campaign underscores the integration of technology to narrow the digital gap, offering digital infrastructure and services to all individuals. Through the utilization of technological strides, Digital India fosters innovation across diverse sectors, enabling effective governance, e-governance services and comprehensive digital integration.

The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) stands as a flagship endeavor aimed at nurturing innovation and entrepreneurial spirit throughout the nation. It cultivates an environment of innovation among students, entrepreneurs and researchers channeling their efforts towards tackling societal issues using technological breakthroughs.

Concurrently, the Startup India campaign strives to nurture entrepreneurship and creativity by extending support to startups through diverse schemes and incentives. Its objective is to stimulate technology-powered solutions while advocating for an innovative ethos across multiple industries.

The Digital India program includes initiatives like BharatNet aiming to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to rural areas. By leveraging technology, it promotes digital inclusion, empowers citizens with access to digital services and fosters innovation in remote regions.

The National Supercomputing Mission aims to provide supercomputing infrastructure and capacity-building in high-performance computing. This initiative fosters technological advancements and innovation in scientific research, weather forecasting and various domains.

The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) fosters innovation and entrepreneurship across schools, colleges and universities by supporting research, development and innovation ecosystems. It encourages a culture of innovation among the youth and promotes technological advancements.

The PMGDISHA that is the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan endeavors to empower six crore rural households with digital literacy. Utilizing technology for education and skill enhancement, it not only fosters innovation but also enables rural communities to actively engage in the digital landscape.

The BharatNet initiative under the Digital India campaign strives to furnish high-speed internet connectivity to rural regions. By closing the digital gap, it equips communities with technological access, facilitating education, e-governance and a spectrum of digital services.

C - Conservation

Preservation and safeguarding of natural resources, biodiversity and ecosystems stand as imperative tasks. The preservation of habitats, reduction of pollution and the implementation of conservation initiatives are pivotal in forging a sustainable global landscape.

The Namami Gange initiative under the National Mission for Clean Ganga represents a holistic endeavor dedicated to revitalizing Maa Ganges River. Addressing pollution, conserving biodiversity and advocating sustainable river ecosystem management are its core objectives. This initiative prioritizes conservation endeavors crucial for maintaining the ecological equilibrium of the Ganges river system.

Project Tiger, a significant initiative, directs its focus towards the conservation of tigers and the protection of their habitats within various tiger reserves across Bharat. With a primary goal of safeguarding these habitats, it aims to preserve biodiversity and shield endangered species, thereby contributing significantly to the preservation of ecosystems.

The National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) focuses on scientific research and conservation of our fragile Himalayan ecosystem. It aims to address environmental challenges in our Himalayan region and promote sustainable development practices.

The National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) emphasizes climate-resilient agricultural practices and natural resource management. It focuses on conserving water, promoting efficient irrigation techniques and adopting climate-smart agricultural strategies.

The National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) focuses on the conservation and sustainable management of natural resources in our Himalayan region. It aims to address issues related to water security, biodiversity conservation and sustainable livelihoods.

The National Mission on Biodiversity and Human Well-being concentrates on preserving biodiversity and guaranteeing the sustainable utilization of biological resources. The NAFCC backs initiatives and schemes that tackle adaptation requirements in climate-sensitive sectors. Its emphasis lies in fostering conservation, fortifying resilience and implementing adaptive strategies.

H - Holistic Approach

Taking a holistic view considers the interconnectedness of environmental, social and economic aspects. Solutions should address multiple dimensions to ensure long-term sustainability and self-sufficiency.

The Smart Cities Mission aims to develop 100 smart cities across Bharat by integrating technology, sustainability and citizen engagement. It takes a holistic approach by focusing on urban development that incorporates environmental sustainability, efficient infrastructure and community involvement to create livable and sustainable cities.

The National Mission for Sustainable Habitat focuses on promoting sustainable urban development. It emphasizes efficient resource utilization, waste management and infrastructure development to create environmentally sustainable and livable urban spaces.

The Smart Cities Mission aims to develop smart and sustainable cities by leveraging technology and innovation. It focuses on comprehensive urban development, incorporating aspects like infrastructure, governance, sustainability and citizen engagement for holistic city growth.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) endeavors to ensure accessible housing for all by 2022. It employs a comprehensive strategy, encompassing infrastructure enhancement, sanitation facilities and the overall welfare of recipients.

The National Nutrition Mission (Poshan Abhiyaan) aims to tackle malnutrition and associated health challenges comprehensively. It adopts a holistic strategy, integrating various sectors such as healthcare, education, sanitation and women's empowerment to enhance nutritional well-being.

The National Mission on Transformative Mobility and Battery Storage aims to promote clean and sustainable mobility solutions. It focuses on electric and shared mobility as well as advanced energy storage technologies contributing to a holistic approach in the transportation sector.

The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) aims to provide safe and potable tap water to all rural households by 2024. By focusing on water conservation, source sustainability and community involvement, JJM adopts a holistic approach to ensure access to clean drinking water.

The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) strives to offer all-weather road connectivity to rural habitations that lack it. Through linking remote regions to the broader network, it facilitates comprehensive rural development.

Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's statement 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas' is not just a phrase but rather emphasizes harmony, prosperity and social equality in global society, at large.

'Sabka Saath' advocates for shared strength and unity. 'Sabka Vikas' signifies a commitment to the up-liftment and development of every individual in the global societies. 'Sabka Vishwas' fosters trust among Nations and 'Sabka Prayas' emphasizes the collective efforts of all, as a unified one family. Through this mantra, our excellency aims to unite Nations towards a vision of a stronger and more prosperous Global World.

By focusing on these elements: Sustainability, Community Engagement, Renewable Energy, Agriculture and Food Security, Technology Innovation, Conservation and a Holistic Approach, we can lay the groundwork for rebuilding a more sustainable and self-sufficient world from scratch.
