The Scrapper's Way: Making It Big in an Unequal World

The Scrapper's Way: Making It Big in an Unequal World

‘The professor hurled a piece of chalk at his forehead to bring his attention back to Chemistry. ‘Hello, you—the boy in pink shirt—have you never seen a ceiling fan before?’ thundered the professor. The boy was shaken up, but still replied with absolute innocence that he had indeed never seen one before. The entire class laughed, and the interrogation continued with all eyes on him. “Okay, now tell me, why were you staring at the fan with your mouth so wide open?” ‘Sir, I was curious to see after how many revolutions I could no longer count the fan blades,’ he answered, embarrassed. The class burst into laughter yet again…’

This is a leaf out of the life story of a small-town boy from the eastern state of Odisha. The same boy, who was the laughing stock in his first day in college for not having seen a ceiling fan before, grew up to accomplish ‘something’ in life.

A rendezvous with his son (essence of which constitutes the ‘prologue’) triggered his motivation to write the book, he is holding up for you.

The book, titled – ‘The Scrapper's Way: Making It Big in an Unequal World’ published by HarperCollins India is all set to be released next week, on the 20th of January. You can preorder your copy right now @ https://amzn.eu/d/f90XdWS

I hope that all institutions with strong Career Development Centres buys a copy of this book for the Career Corner of their Library. Bright students should know that they can make it big even if they are not born with a silver spoon in their mouth - learn how to.
