Scottish Inventor Develops A Direct Vizion System Thats Expected To Save Tens of Thousands of Pedestrian & Cyclists Lives

Jock Boyle a former HGV driver now an acclaimed Innovator and Entrepreneur first encountered the car peripheral Blind Spot problem caused by the A-pillars on his very first driving lesson nearly 40 years ago whilst serving in the 1st Bn Black Watch (RHR) in Berlin,

He collided with a cyclist at a junction whilst turning, He just didn't see him, the cyclist was obscured from his field of view by the A-pillar, A lesson that he'll never forget.

I'm sure most of you have experienced a *SMIDSY" (Sorry Mate I Didn't See You) incident at junctions or roundabouts, whilst driving or experience of it whilst cycling,

The collision statistics show that 57% of all crashes occur at junctions and that the number one reason for people failing their driving test is "Observations at Junctions"

You can't detect, react to or avoid people or vehicles that you can't see, !!!

Jock an HGV driver for 30 years, encountered the A-pillar peripheral blind spot problem on a daily basis and in HGV's the additional Front Proximity blind spot caused by height of the drivers seating position obscuring the field of view directly in front of you, endangering the pedestrians crossing in front of you and the cyclists positioned in Advanced Stop Lines,

You can't detect, react to or avoid people or vehicles that you can't see, !!!

Jock a lifelong serial inventor with granted and pending patents, developed the Revolutionary, Retrofittable, Next Generation "Fresnel" Lens - Direct Vizion System with a vision of eliminating the Peripheral and Proximity Blind Spot Problem, a problem all vehicles have, a #VizionZero Future,

You can't detect, react to or avoid people or vehicles that you can't see, !!!

The Next Generation "Fresnel" Lens - Direct Vizion System enhances your Direct Vision, enabling an early warning, detection and alert to people walking, cycling and sharing the same road space as you, increasing your visibility, reducing your risk of "Failed to See' collisions with vulnerable road users, (VRU's)

The Viz-Ovalz? Direct Vizion System adds an extra 90o to improve a your Direct Vision Utilises the Fresnel Lenses that have a proven record of reducing Proximity (side swipe) collisions by 59% in trials commissioned by Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom 's VOSA (now Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) )over 10 years ago.

Fresnel Lenses are endorsed and recommended by the likes of FORS - Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme CLOCS RHA and TfL,

To date Fresnel Lenses are fitted in over a million vehicles,

The VIZ-OVALZ? (Vision-Ovals) Vision Zero plan aligns with the World Health Organization's Decade of Action for Road Safety Target,

A 50% Reduction in Road Deaths & Injuries by 2030, Jock believes this is achievable

The European Commission expects that Transport for London's (TfL's) Direct Vision Standard (DVS) improving vehicle design to increase drivers direct vision and other road safety initiatives, like Kate Cairns "SEE ME SAVE ME campaign, and other road safety initiates will save an estimated 25,0000 lives by 2038.

Jock developed the Viz-Ovalz? Direct Vizion System - Peripheral & Proximity Blind Spot Next Generation "Fresnel" Lens concept whilst caring for his wife that lost her mobility and Dementia for the last 4 years, he has self funded to date but now needs your help to kickstart production and start saving lives and preventing collisions

Can you help ? support the journey towards #VisionZero
