In our conversation, Scott’s? thoughts on Facebook caught my attention. He’s really critical of the company. If you know me at all, you know I have written about the company since right after it launched.? I’ve interviewed many of the major characters extensively--people like Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg. And I have my own opinions about whether Facebook is, objectively, as Scott says, a bad company. So I couldn’t help pressing him on this...and it took us down a rabbit hole. We talked about social media companies, how they got started and why they make decisions, and how they impact our society. Our culture. Our institutions. Like I said, we went down a rabbit hole.?
