SCORCHED EARTH, SCORCHED HEARTS: HOW DO WE HEAL THE LAND?

Father, the creator of the universe, we stretch our hands to thee, no other hope we know. Your Word says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, you would chase it away. Your promise is to heal and deliver us from all harm and danger, not because we earned it, but because you love us.

Your word says that if we, who are called by your name, humble ourselves and pray, and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, then will you hear from heaven, and will forgive our sins and heal our land.

Your promise is that when we come together in unity, there will be a commanded blessing upon our lives. We speak to the forces that scorch the Earth and our hearts and command them in Jesus’ name to die. We plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and all mankind. Your Word says that when you see the blood, you will pass over, and destruction, famine, death, and plague would not come to our households.

We ask for Solomon’s wisdom to care for this planet and for all mankind. We ask for politicians to legislate healthy environmental policies. We ask for Rachels that cry out in love and help the world’s suffering children. We ask for Good Samaritans that stoop down, bandage, and heal scorched bodies and hearts, as well as teach bruised individuals how to fish for themselves. We ask that you would watch over and protect first responders and volunteers that risk their lives so that we may have life.

We thank you in advance for answering these prayers and we stand on your word, that says we have not, because we ask not. “Let him that hath an ear hear what the Spirit saith,” knowing that “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
