Exploring the intersection of geospatial intelligence and asset lifecycle management highlights the seamless integration of location-based data with comprehensive asset oversight to optimize efficiency and decision-making.
The integration of ESRI-GIS with Oracle Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) creates a powerful solution for managing both discrete and GIS assets efficiently. In this setup, ESRI becomes the primary GIS system, with EAM referring to and pulling geometry as needed. This integration applies different types of geometry, making it flexible for a wide range of asset types.
The key to success in this integration lies in setting up the required software, such as ArcGIS for Server and Desktop, and publishing the necessary ESRI Feature Classes. Line geometries, especially those with measure dimensions, require the related ESRI extension for proper handling. Once published, the geometry can be mapped to EAM, enabling asset management based on real-world geography.
This seamless integration allows for flexible mapping options, such as associating one asset to one route, multiple routes, or mapping multiple assets to one route. By leveraging ESRI’s geospatial capabilities within Oracle EAM, organizations can enhance asset visualization and management, leading to more efficient operations and better decision-making.
