The Science of User-Centric Design, System Usability Scales and the Growing Digital Economy

Good afternoon,

A month since my last issue, and quite a few people have subscribed, quite possibly making this their first issue. First - welcome and thank you!

August is rarely a good time to kick-off a big design initiative. Most decision makers are on holiday in the Europe and U.S. I've personally just returned from a couple of weeks in the South of France, with a couple of trips planned before we go back to school in September.

With Skysoclear, we're 1 year in. We've learnt a lot and we keep reminding ourselves that this is a 10+ year journey.

We're conducting a lot of primary research with Heads of UX and Product, as we continue our focus on growing partnerships with businesses who are keen to retain and grow their digital products. From SaaS products that help teams get their work done, to loyalty apps that help businesses gain share of wallet, to funded startups that are building past MVP. If you're in any of these areas, I'd be keen to chat and understand what you're experiencing at this time. In turn, we may be able to offer some value.

In other news, we have some exciting updates since the last issue:

  • we've been working with a SaaS startup on designing and user testing new features for their mechanic job tracking platform
  • we worked with the gomi speaker team (do check out their Barbie batch!)
  • launched our new client account area on our website - improving the way clients can work with us in one digital portal
  • and we attended The Agency Collection lunch in July - great to meet other inspiring agency founders doing great work

Thank you, once again, to all the new subscribers for signing up and for reading and sharing this newsletter,

Ross

That’s $130 billion worth of new digital business over a five-year period!"
