Hi Everyone,This is Naoya Kochi, a founder of Kochi Method.
Today’s theme is on Sciatica.
?
Did you know with Sciatica we think of completely different symptoms based on with it being in either one leg or both?
First when it is only one leg then the symptom that is most likely is Lumbar Disc Hernia.
?
If the symptoms appear on both legs then the what you should look for is Lumbar Canal Stenosis.
Here is the characteristics of this symptom.
?
It is called Intermittent Claudication, where numbness strikes the legs every 10~20m.
They disappear after a rest but will return after another 10~20m and repeats.
?
There are 2 patterns to the source of Lumbar Canal Stenosis.
The Bone or the Veins.
?
If the blood flow is the biggest reason we check by seeng the beat in between the 2 inner toes.
To point out using the Acupoint of Eastern Medicine, LR03 : Liver Meridian.
?
If you can barely feel the beat there then the veins causing the Lumbar Canal Stenosis is the most likely.
