Schumer's Shutdown

This morning over a 1000 police officers from around the United States were scheduled to attend free training provided by the Counter Drug Initiative. They were to receive 3-5 days of instruction on a variety of topics aiding in the battle of the opioid epidemic. Over 30 experts in the field who are now government contractors had made plans and purchased travel arrangements to present these courses. All have now been canceled! Many of the officers attending these training programs had been on a waiting list for up to 2 years to attend. Several had take vacation days or holidays so they might participate. Agencies rearranged their schedules so the officers could be absent. While the military and federal employees will ultimately get retroactive pay, NONE of the contractors will be paid or reimbursed for the salary and travel costs they forfeited, agencies will NOT be reimbursed for the disruption of their organization and officers may never be able to attend their desired training in the future. AND this is just a very small section of the training the hundreds of government programs had canceled today and this week. All because the Democrats want to protect the dreamers! Where is the pictures of these very people draped in the Mexican flag burning the flag of the United States?
