As many school staff members are now working from home, we wanted to inform you of all the different ways we can help divert your calls to remote workers, from legacy call diverts to fully-featured VoIP handsets at home.
The Old School (Call Divert)
If you're looking for a very simple way to divert your telephone number to another number, most people would think of the legacy call divert. We can set this up for you very easily for a small charge of the call divert. The number can point to any other number but limits you to only 1 call at a time and to only one other number.
Out with the old, in with the new.
Number Presentation and Privacy
You no longer have to worry about parents and suppliers getting a hold of your personal number. By using the remote handset or the app on your smartphone we can set this extension number up to present the school's main number when dialling out. This allows you to comply with GDPR and protect your staff, as well as, keeping professional.
Ring Groups (Divert to Multiple Handsets)
Teamwork is dream work. It's a bit unfair to leave all of the calls to only one person. With VoIP handsets at home, you can simulate the office ring group which calls all of the phones at the same time or ring rounds them in order. Just like it would in the office.
Billing
Finance staff will no longer have the tedious task of reimbursing staff for using their own telephone/mobile handsets for school work. As the handset will be connected directly to the school account the calls will be added to the bill as normal.
User-Configurable
