The response to a school tragedy begins well before the event. With the proper preparation, including campus threat assessment and response planning, law enforcement officers will be in an optimal position to prevent, intervene and recover from a school crisis or critical incident while protecting the nation’s most valuable resources, our children.
This two-day comprehensive program will provide you with a process that you can adapt in your community to ensure school and campus safety preparedness. We will discuss law enforcement’s role in school crisis planning and related critical incidents as well as strategies for preventing student crime and violence on school property. You will learn the process of developing school-based threat assessments, how to conduct a physical school safety assessment, how to cultivate effective school/police partnerships and develop model policies.

Church, Faith Based Schools need to Be Prepared, but unlike Public Schools, unfortunately do not have the staffs, training and assets, resources to do it. We're working on using Safety Town, a miniature city in Portsmouth Va, that trains Public School 1st Graders in Stranger Danger and Pedestrian Safety. We train 3rd Grade in a Reminder on Stranger Danger and Pedestrian Safety, plus Bike Safety with bikes & helmets, on our paved streets, with signs and signals. We welcome ideas, help with our outreach to the Safety Security of Faith Based sites.
