School concept, the role of the school in a changing world

Here, I make a difference between Sciences and Knowledge

Sciences are a set of observations, investigations,?analysis and experiments of a subject or situation. They change and evolve over time.

Knowledge is a set of different information that are accumulated in the memory which may be true, false, accurate , approximate or even superstitious.

1. The concept of the school

A school is a place to study, or a particular denomination for the delivery of particular teachings. Studying is reading acquiring Sciences and Knowledge. Sciences are theoretical or applied. Theoretical are?transmitted by understanding like Mathematics. Applied are gained by experience like biology.?

Whereas, Knowledge is obtained by indoctrination.

There are Sciences that are theoretical and applied at the same time, such as Physics and Chemistry. Among the Knowledge, we can cite?Technical, Artistic, Social, and Religious Knowledge, that are acquired through memorization .

Sciences are constantly subject to change and development. That's the case also of the Knowledge, with the exception of Religious Knowledge because it is fixed and sacred. Learning is practicing and rehearsing in order to acquire skills.

Teaching is the profession of?Education . Education is the upbringing of the student child on certain morals such as respect and patriotism, or on a certain behavior such as politeness, taming or ignorance. The profession of a teacher or professor, it is, in principle, the opposite of ignorance, the delivery of the expected idea and information.?

In all countries of the world, education is still available through primary, secondary and tertiary levels by government institutions or by the private sector. The percentage of success and excellence is not the matter of this institution or that, but everything depends on the student's cognitive structure.

2. The role of the school

The primary objective required of the school is to transform the student child into a well-balanced, educated citizen who knows how to deal with the problems of daily life through the cognitive structure and the culture she/he has gained through the appropriate school curricula that include Science and Knowledge.

Science is not influenced or subjected to prejudices, but rather to logic. As for knowledge, it is pragmatic information, that is, it is not valid unless it is true on the realm of reality, such as the knowledge of social sciences that includes morals, human rights, sexual education and civic education. It is very likely that this knowledge contains falsification, fabrication or misrepresentation, which leads to a diminution of the credibility of this Knowledge and thus to a decrease in the value of the cognitive structure.
