Schiedel Shop - online and integrated with SAP.

Very pleased to have been actively involved in a team to launch the Schiedel Shop for the UK and Ireland. This is Schiedel Chimney Systems online shopping and product information for our existing customers and public customers.

The Shop has been launched since November and is actively used by our customer base.

The Schiedel Shop acts according to the user type. For example, our existing customers have access to list pricing for all products, which then calculate their own discounted prices when in the basket.

General public customers have access to all product information, but only pricing for particular items we sell to them (ie. our range of excellent stove products and outdoor heating and living appliances.

This means there are no product information restrictions as Google sees the page all the time.

All orders go directly into our SAP system, therefore reducing any manual entry and possible errors. Plus, there is no order delay when our current customers use the Shop - the order is in our SAP system immediately.

Each page has full information on all our product range. This allows the consumer to download data sheets for each product.

Our SAP customers have access to quick ordering on each page, which follows the flow of our catalogues.

General public, including installers and chimney specialists can also access our stockist finder, which lists our main stockists and also the ranges they specialise in. The map uses geolocation, so it's easy to find a suitable stockist or showroom near you.

Customers have access to their previous SAP orders within their account system. It's easy to use, and this also allows them to bulk order, including uploading a simple spreadsheet with product code and quantity - which simply adds the relevant items to the basket.

It's easy to download data sheets (for everyone) and product price lists (for our existing account customers only). Product price lists are available on every category page, and are context led, which means you can narrow down the price list range you need.

This also helps with our Going Green and Sustainability plans as it helps reduce printed material.

Each page is content rich, with the ability to have banners, product range info and more. The data is led from SAP, while editing the pages is easy and takes seconds for any amends and additions.

As an added bonus, this has created over 900 data rich pages which are now searchable within Google, as well as now having the ability to add our consumer products to Google's Shopping feeds.

We're looking to launch individual online Shops for most of the Schiedel companies throughout Europe.
