"Scheduling Recall Repair..."

"Scheduling Recall Repair..." My three favorite words. Well, maybe not favorite but right up there.
I have started running again recently. When I go for a run I like to listen to podcasts about startups. I was listening to the "How I built this" podcast, which if you haven't listened and are an entrepreneur, I would highly recommend. It was an episode in which the host was interviewing the founder of Instagram. He asked him "was there one person who joined Instagram and you were like 'whoa XXX is using Instagram, we have made it...."
It got me thinking, is there something that has happened with RecallRabbit that has made me feel that way or a customer coming on or something like that.
It is funny how the universe works. After my run I got on my computer and there was a message "Scheduling Recall Repair." That is it. I kind of smiled and realized that every time I see that subject on a message I get a little happy and think "we built something that really works."
So the way our tool works is that we message car owners whose vehicles has a recall and get them to go see a dealer to get that recall fixed. The way the tool works is that the customer messages the dealer to schedule a repair. We have it set up so we can see when someone clicks to send that message and we see the subject line "Scheduling Recall Repair".

It is funny how three words can change your mood. Running a startup is not always glamorous or fun. Lots of stress and lots of worry, "will this thing work", "will we be able to make payroll", "will the customer cancel", "will someone quit on the team.", "will everyone find out I am a fraud and really don't know how to run a company." Now, don't get me wrong I know I have a great life. Many people out there have much harder lives and much bigger problems than I do, but still these thoughts run through my head.
Then "Scheduling Recall Repair" pos up and I think "holy crap this thing really works." In three years we went from doing something totally different to building out a complete messaging system to help dealers get revenue. We have run over 1000 campaigns, helped over 90 dealers, had 3,000+ recalls repaired and helped our dealer customer make over $9,000,000 in profits.
Not sure what that has to do with anything but if you are an entrapanuer and have the same thoughts about "am I good enough.." "are we good enough..." just know you aren't alone. Keep pushing! I listen to a lot of podcast about startup life and I have heard this a bunch of times. "It isn't over until you stop..." Find your "Scheduling Recall Repair" in what your business does. Look for that little thing that makes you smile and feel good about what you do and makes you feel like "this shit works, I know it does and I am not listening to anyone else." It is there, I promise you. It may be something small but there is something in what you do that will make you feel that way. You are doing what you are doing for a reason, or you would be working for the Man.
KEEP PUSHING!
