Welcome to the first newsletter of 2023!??
January is always a time of hope and inspiration for what the year will hold, including goals and dreams.??
We spent the last part of 2022 making some changes to our various businesses and websites — the biggest one being the launch of our new business, Life Happens In Between.??
It’s an exciting endeavor that my wife Jen and I are taking, and it will include my consulting business and author page, plus new content coming from her — and we’re starting right here with this newsletter.
We have some good stuff in this month’s newsletter, so let’s jump right in!
Scheduling LinkedIn Posts (Tai)
LinkedIn has now rolled out a scheduling feature for profiles.? If you don’t have it yet, it should be coming very soon.? You can tell if you have it by the little clock icon next to the “post” button.? Click on the icon to set up a scheduled day and time to post.
You can schedule three months out, but only certain kinds of content can be scheduled.? For instance, you can’t schedule a poll.? Once you’ve selected your date and time, it will take you back to your original post where you can then finish writing it.
Once your post is written and you’ve verified the date and time is correct, you can hit the “schedule” button and submit it into the schedule.? You can view all previously scheduled posts on the previous screen when you select the date and time.
That’s it!? Super easy to schedule posts and a very useful tool to beef up your posting schedule and fill in gaps.? Don’t post on weekends?? Now you can without actually having to post in real time.? Can’t post every day?? Schedule out content for the whole week in one evening.? The possibilities are endless.
As of this writing, the scheduling option is not available for company pages yet, but that is hopefully coming next!

New Year, New Intentions (Jen)
It’s late January, that time of the year when you’ve set your goals and resolutions, and are already second guessing, regretting and adjusting after the first few hectic weeks of the new year. You’ve spent this first month trying to be better and do better — often resulting in frustrations and disappointment. For years, I’d set unrealistic goals and resolutions for myself only to find by late January or early February I’d be discouraged and either giving up or setting new goals and resolutions.

What We Can Expect in Social in 2023 (Tai)
As January comes to a close there are a plethora of predictions for social this year, including the stability of Twitter and Facebook (hint: not good), and the waning power of influencers.? Expect new platforms to emerge as Gen Z looks for technology that works better for them than the old guard.? Where do you see social media going this year?

Exclusive Interview – The Winchesters Composer Philip White (Tai)
Philip White composes music for film, television, interactive media, and the concert stage. He has composed the scores for Tyler Perry’s A Madea Homecoming, The Loud House Movie (2021 HMMA nomination for Best Original Score for an Animated Film), Jexi, A Madea Family Funeral, Nobody’s Fool, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, and Alex & Me.?
In television, Philip has had the pleasure of working on Supernatural for the duration of its historic 15 seasons on the CW. Other major TV credits include Fraggle Rock, Lost in Space, Ray Donovan, What/If, Bates Motel, Agent Carter, When We Rise, Revolution, and Dallas.
I asked him about composing for the new spin-off series, The Winchesters, how he approaches music for reboots, and his music philosophy in general.
