Think about the easiest experience you ever had when booking an online appointment with a specialist:

You get to the website of the clinic, click on “Meet a Specialist”, find a time that suits you, answer a couple of questions, fill in your details, and done!?

Simple, right?

If everything works properly, yes.

But can you imagine what it could be like if you had to fill in a form with 10 questions about your needs, wait until someone called you a few hours later with appointment options, and then wait for the appointment confirmation to arrive in your inbox?

That experience was acceptable in 2004, but it’s not the kind of impression you want to make on your clients in 2024.?

So when a healthcare business approached me with a similar complicated process, they knew they needed a serious upgrade to their tools…

But the right tool for them had to be both HIPAA compliant, AND had to have plenty of “paths” for clients to choose from.?

They could no longer afford giving their patients such a slow and frustrating experience.

More importantly, the business owner ran out of headspace and time to match between patient and specialists:

?? Some specialists see their patients in person, and some virtually. Some have both options.?

?? Some patients only want to see women specialists, and some only want to see men specialists.

?? And let’s not forget the different kinds healthcare insurances that each one works with/has!

We started the process by mapping out the frequently asked questions that patients come up with before they book the appointment.

Then we found a new scheduling system that answered their needs.

Putting that small (but important) system in place meant that now, the CEO of this business can:

?? Do things other than JUST putting out fires every day

?? Have much needed headspace to listen to existing clients and help them better

?? Find new mental capacity for business development or new partnerships

Businesses like that one start small, try to cut on costs, do everything themselves, and soon after, experience a “good problem” and become a swamped success story.?

The right systems and automations enable building a? sustainable-at-scale business, just like this healthcare brand experiences now.
