What do Jay Z, Julia Roberts, Jeff Bezos, Cristiano Ronaldo, and you all have in common?

Time.

Every single one of us has 24 hours in a day. What differentiates us from one another is what we choose to do with that time. The people I just mentioned are all rock stars in their own professions. They know what it takes to succeed, whether it’s on the stage, in the boardroom, or on the soccer field.

For you to be a rockstar in your own right, you need to decide how you will spend your days.

Most people are addicted to wasting their time. They spend hours scrolling through social media, watching television, or trying to reach a high score on their favorite games. How many hours a week do you think Jay Z or Cristiano Ronaldo spend watching television?

My guess… not much. They are too busy in the studio creating new music or on the practice field improving their moves. They spend their time wisely, and you can too.

Take a look at your schedule and your current goals (and if you don’t have any, set some goals). Then, ask yourself these questions:

• How many hours per day do you spend working towards your goals?
• How about per week?
• Are you on track to meet your goals, or is the deadline no longer feasible?
• What activities could you take off your plate to make time?
• When are you most creative (AM or PM), and do you dedicate that time to your dreams?

Whether or not you achieve your goals and become a rockstar in your own right depends on how you spend your time. If you are serious about success, now’s the time to schedule it.
