SCHEDULE A WALK-THROUGH NOW FOR SPRING CHANGES
E.A. Quinn Landscape Contracting LLC
Connecticut's premier landscape maintenance, design and installation experts.
We get it. It's January and all you can think about is keeping your property safe during a snowstorm. But if you are having challenges with your current contractor or you are an existing client and want to get your property ready for spring, NOW is the time to schedule a walk-through. That way you know what to expect and are ready for whatever 2025 will bring.
POTENTIAL NEW CLIENTS: DEFINE YOUR SCOPE
If you're reviewing your maintenance plan and don't feel your needs are being met or have been unsatisfied with your maintenance contractor, NOW is the time to start the process of finding a new one. That's because the best contractors will fill their client rosters early and you need to act. If you are serious about securing a new contractor, you first MUST DEFINE YOUR SCOPE. Answer the following questions: 1. Is your current scope being followed? 2. Do you need to alter the scope so that everyone is bidding on exactly what you need done? 3. Does the scope match your campus needs? We often find items listed that are no longer needed or relevant. Once you have defined your scope, schedule walk-throughs with potential new contractors. Finally, review all bids and choose the one that fits best with you and your property.
EXISTING CLIENTS: UPDATE MAINTENANCE PLANS
If you're happy with your current contractor, take some time to review your scope and make sure it still works for your campus. Then, schedule a walk-through with your contractor so they can review the property and look for potential problems. Some of the things they will look for include checking trees to ensure they're not blocking lights or signs, making sure visibility is good from all corners of the property, and ensuring lights are functioning properly and are well-placed. All of this will help enhance the security of your property and lessen your liability. Finally, your contractor will go over the current maintenance plan and update it to make sure it includes any critical upgrades for 2025.
HERE'S THE BUZZ
"I could not be happier with your team's job on snow removal this morning at my drive through parking lot and other areas. Your crews cleared the snow right to the edges, placed snow piles in strategic places and there is no excessive ice melt or rock salt. Plus, the communication from Derrick was AWESOME! I never had to guess or wonder what was happening on the property during the storm."
