South Carolina Gets Lit is a two pronged platform. The first step is the author platform where we are "exposing authors". There are a lot of ways for authors to get visibility, especially with the use of technology.
However, few of these ways are dedicated to giving visibility globally. What do we mean? The donation given to be on the show funds the literacy program where we work with children ages 1-12 years old. We help them with reading concepts, techniques and reading comprehension. Did you know that the sooner a child is introduced to reading the greater their chances are of being successful in life? Why? The answer goes back to something I heard in elementary school, "The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the more you grow. The more you grow, the farther you go."
