SCARY but FUNNY
Thought I'd share this SCARY but FUNNY patient incident of yesterday...
a patient came in not feeling like herself, very wobbly, not able to stand or walk very well. My assessment revealed that it was due to fascial pulling from a scar she has. I percussed the scar to relax and unwind the scar tissue. The patient was still very wobbly and unable to stand very well. I then had the patient sit down and then lasered the scar to relax it differently. When the patient went to... stand up she was still very wobbly and unable to stand very well. I then had the patient sit down again and this time I decided to work on the emotional connection with the scar. Once again I asked the patient to stand, but she just sat there for about 20 seconds not saying a word. I thought she was apprehensive, but to my surprise, she jumped up with her hands in the air and yelled "YES!" It happened to quickly that I thought she was going to fall backwards and I practically jumped over the table to catch her. She was laughing and happy as can be! Standing strong and feeling GREAT! Yes, a little scary (for me) and funny at the same time. Never underestimate the impact a scar can have on the body. REAL SOLUTIONS FOR REAL PROBLEMS.
